True North Church Friends,
I pray this email finds you in good health and enjoying the beautiful Fall weather we've been having. The interior of Alaska is amazing.
This notice is to inform you some of our True North Staff and Serve Team members have tested positive within the last 5 days for COVID-19. We have determined after much prayer and consultation with church leaders and medical professionals to suspend all in-church building activities and gatherings starting today, Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, until Sunday, October 4th.
THESE IN-CHURCH EVENTS WILL BE SUSPENDED:
- Wednesday, Sept. 24th - 7pm
- Friday, Sept. 25th - Men's Conference
- Sunday, Sept. 27th - All gatherings (including Youth and Care Groups)
- Wednesday, Sept. 30th - 7pm
HERE IS OUR PLAN OF ACTION:
1. All True North staff members are being tested for COVID-19 immediately.
2. The entire church building will be deep cleaned. All surfaces will be sanitized, all carpets and chairs will be steam cleaned.
3. We are requesting anyone who serves in any ministry to monitor their health. If you have any symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 48 hours, we are encouraging you to be tested.
4. This Sunday, Sept. 27th, we will stream our gathering at 10:30am via Facebook. Pastor Mark will be preaching Part 3 of the Daniel Dilemma series. Be sure to watch online.
5. At this time our desire is to "reboot" and be back to in-church gatherings on Sunday, October 4th at 9am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm. We will continue to clean between and during each service. Our prayer and goal is to prevent cases from spreading in the future. We will be asking all Staff and Serve Team members to check their temperature prior to serving.
Let's continue to pray for those in our community who are feeling sick and those who are most vulnerable to this virus.
