Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly commit before God and their church family to lead their child with faith, prayer, and a Christ-centered example. As a church, we’re honored to come alongside families as they raise the next generation to know Jesus.

Do I need to be a member of True North?
No. Membership isn’t required, but we encourage families participating in Child Dedication to consider True North their church home and be willing to partner with the church as they raise their child.
What happens during the dedication?
Parents publicly affirm their commitment to follow Jesus and raise their child in a God-honoring way, and our church family has the opportunity to pray for and support them.
Are there requirements for parents?
Because Child Dedication is a public commitment to raise your child according to biblical values, we ask participating parents to have a personal relationship with Jesus and be willing to model a Christ-centered life at home.
What age should my child be?
There is no strict age requirement. Many children are dedicated as infants, but older children may be dedicated as well.
Is Child Dedication the same as baptism?
No. Child Dedication is a commitment made by parents. Baptism is for those who have personally decided to follow Jesus and are ready to publicly express that faith for themselves.
