Groups are the core of who we are at True North. We strongly believe that we grow in circles, not in rows. When we encounter God in the context of relationships with others, we can sharpen, challenge, and encourage one another.
How can I serve?
True North Groups
You can host a Life Group! We do not require you to be a Bible scholar, only to have a heart to welcome people into your home and see them connected, protected and growing.
Care Groups
Care groups leaders facilitate discipleship-based small groups that offer a community of hope and support. We offer Divorce Care, Grief Share, and Living Free to come alongside those struggling with unhealthy relationships, the loss of a loved one, a painful divorce, destructive behaviors, and life-controlling issues.

As a True North Group host, you can choose the day and time of your group. We run Life Group sessions in the fall, winter and summer. Each session is typically 6-8 weeks long.

Anyone who attends True North and would like to open up their home to host a Group. We do require all first-time Group hosts to attend a one-hour training provided on a Wednesday or Sunday before the upcoming session.
Care Groups
If you have a heart for seeing people set free, healed, and growing in their relationship with Christ then we would love to have you join the team. You don’t need any type of formal, professional training; what you do need is patience, humor, compassion, leadership, friendliness, humility, discretion, and a strong dependance on God and prayer. We ask that leaders demonstrate a lifestyle of obedience to Christ and a mature Christian faith.

Step 1: Grow Track
Everyone who joins a Serve Team starts with Grow Track. It's more than just a volunteer orientation. Grow Track is a four-step process for anyone interested in taking the next step in their journey with God. Discover your God-given purpose and be equipped you to make a difference in your community and the world! No need to register! Join us on Sundays at our AIRPORT WAY VENUE during our 10A gathering or at our COLLEGE ROAD VENUE during our 10:30A gathering, starting with Step One on the first Sunday of the month. We invite you to jump in at any time.
Step 2: Contact the Serve Team leader
Contact the Serve Team leader to let them know you're interested in joining their team. They can give you more details and get you plugged in once you've started in Grow Track.
Planning Center
We use an online system called Planning Center for scheduling team members, organizing services, and streamlining communication. Everyone on a Serve Team will need a free Planning Center account to track their schedule, accept or decline requests to serve, and access rehearsal files (for worship team).
