PLANNING CENTER SERVICE APP

Planning Center is an online system for scheduling team members, organizing services, and streamlining communication. YOU WILL NEED THIS on your phone and possibly your computer.  CLICK HERE to understand how "Planning Center Services" works.

- Schedules are usually sent 2-3 weeks in advance, via text and/or email , so you can practice ahead of time.

- You’ll receive an email and/or text indicating which dates and venue you’re scheduled at; along with a list of that week’s worship set to listen and practice.

 - Please ACCEPT OR DECLINE at your earliest convenience.  This allows us to find a replacement in a timely manner.  Always bring a set of EAR BUDS. They're used for our in-ear monitors.  You'll be showed how to use these at the practice.

- IMPORTANT: You’re expected to come to practices prepared with either vocals or any instrumental solos/leads. Practices are approx. 1 hour long. (See below for practice times)  The Planning Center Service  app comes in handy in that you can listen to .mp3 audios.  These .mp3 audios are mainly to hear the Original Song "AND" for vocalists to hear their HARMONY Parts.  If you're singing MELODY, there won't be a part for this one.  You're singing what the main soloist is singing; the MELODY.

- INSTRUMENTALISTS (BAND) ONLY: We have a great resource called Rehearsal mix which is for musicians.  You can  hear "your instrument" with this under the  .m4a files.  However, an administrator must give you permission.  Contact Heidi if you'd like this resource.

PRACTICE TIMES  "AIRPORT WAY"

Address: 2830 Airport Way

PRACTICE TIME:
Practices are on Thursday nights from 6p-7p. There is no childcare available during practice. Please come READY! We're kindly asking this NOT be the first time you've looked or listened to the songs.  We want to give God excellence and that entails putting in the practice time on your own BEFORE we meet as a team. Thank you.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO SING OR PLAY?
Planning Center Services app  will indicate the details (who has a solo, what harmonies are sung, and  Band/Instrumental intros or  lead riffs).  I also will text everyone to REMIND them to look at the details.  This is important.
- All songs and harmony parts should be in the details.
- All Song Chord Charts should be in the details.
- If you're a musician and you'd like to "hone in" on your instrument, there's a resource called REHEARSAL MIX that allows this. It's great for the BAND members.  Please contact Heidi here, if you'd like this,

PLEASE NOTE: Once a month we don't have a Thursday PM practice due to our FIRST Wednesday "Prayer & Worship" night.  We'll have practice on that Wednesday at 5:45P; before the Prayer & Worship Service at 7P.  For that particular Sunday, we'll have a Sound Check will be at 7:15a. Again, there's NO THURSDAY PRACTICE when there's the a "Wednesday Prayer and Worship night."

WHEN ARE THE GATHERING TIMES?:
- Airport Way Sunday Gathering Times are  8:00a, 9:30a, 11:00a, 12:30P.

WHAT DO SUNDAYS LOOK LIKE AT AIRPORT WAY?:
- Please bring ear buds.  You’ll need these for your Ear Monitor Pack you’ll receive at practice.  We don’t have stage monitors, so the Ear Monitor Pack will allow you to hear everything you need to.
- You're mic and ear monitor will be in the back of the Airport Way stage area.  There's a whiteboard that indicates which one you'll use. Someone will be there to assist if you need help.  Be sure to put  them back at the end of the last gathering.

HOW TO ACCESS SONGS:
- Make sure you click "ORDER " in Planning Center. This allows you to see the songs, who's doing the vocal solo,  who's leading instrumentally with the INTRO, and which key it's in.

- Click the song you want to listen to and this should bring you to a page with a lot more files.
READ BELOW:

- VOCALISTS:  You ONLY HAVE ACCESS to the files that end with .mp3.
- BAND: You have access to .mp3 files, but can also have access to the .m4a ones.  The .m4a  files allow you to "hone in" on your instrument. However, I must give you access to this.

HOW MANY SONGS DO WE DO?:
- The Sunday worship set is approx. 15-20 minutes long (about 4 songs).

WHAT KIND OF EARBUDS DO I NEED?
Here's a couple of suggestions from Amazon. No need to buy SUPER expensive ones. It needs to be a standard Headphone jack 3.5mm.

END OF THE GATHERING:
- At the end of each sermon (Except the last one), we come back to the stage for a quick reflection time and quick song. This is for all the gatherings, except the very last gathering.

-  AFTER the last  gathering’s worship set, you’re allowed to leave early and NOT stay for the end.

INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER

The worship ministry serve team is the only team that shares the platform with the Pastor. It’s highly visible.  None of us are perfect and we all sin.  However, if there’s an area in your life you know isn’t honoring to God, PLEASE have the integrity to let us know.
- First off, we LOVE you and want to help in any way we can. We care about YOU!
- We want to see you back on the team. Yes, there will be an accountability time, which would consist of some or all of the below:
1.  Taking a break from the team for 4-6 weeks.
2. Attending every week and sitting in the first 3 rows so can see you. Or, simply letting us know you're sitting in the gathering.
3.  You taking notes of the sermon.
4. Weekly check in with Heidi or another Pastor on staff.
5. Sometimes, we’ve referred some counseling and THAT’S OK!

The main thing is, we believe in reconciliation. We want to see you back on a ministry team!

Lastly, Please be aware of these things:

- Any sort of social media platform is highly noticeable.  Word gets out what’s been posted, so please…please… don’t post photos or comments that contain:
- Alcohol or drunkenness, marijuana or substances that are similar, clubbing, sexual content, political bashing, or things that would discredit your witness as a believer in Jesus.

We LOVE to have fun on this Ministry Serve Team.  We consider it an honor you’re a part of it and we APPRECIATE all the talent God has given you.
