Special Business Meeting

Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 6:30pm

Please prayerfully consider the purchase of two properties on College Road:
  • Property 1: The University of Alaska Fairbanks Administrative Service Building, which is 18,600 square feet. This building has an elevator and is ADA approved. This will become our administrative offices, adult education space, prayer chapel, and meeting rooms.
  • Property 2: The acreage immediately behind the UAF Administrative Service Building. This land is buildable, has good soil, and utilities are on the property.

Combined total acreage: 11
Total purchase price: $2,226,820

If the church voting membership approves, True North Church would assume a loan of up to $3,000,000 to:
  1. Purchase both properties
  2. Retain an architecture and engineering firm for a design build. The architect and engineers will design a 25,000 square foot building, which would contain a worship center, foyer, cafe, and kids facility.

Each year new board members are chosen at our annual Vision Meeting. Our board members act as trustees and stewards of the resources, ambitions, and decisions of True North. This year, there will be three vacancies on our church board. Our Screening Committee is currently receiving nominations.
