Every week at True North, we worship together in community through music. If you have a passion for playing guitar, drums, singing, or any musical instrument, we would love to help grow that passion. We hold auditions throughout the year, and have several opportunities to serve!

When will I serve?
Typical Sunday - 7:55A - 1:30P and 5:45P - 6:30P
Our worship team does serve for all 5 gatherings, which is why we typically schedule you only once per month. It can be a long day, but we have a team that provides baked goods and yummy treats. You will be well taken care of! There is also True North Kids available for all gatherings for your children.

- Midweek practice (usually Thursday evenings) for 1 hour.
- Arrive at 7:55A for a sound check.
- The worship set is approx. 20 minutes long. Towards the end of the sermon, we come back for the altar/offering time. This is for all the gatherings, except the 4th and 5th.
- AFTER the 4th service worship set is over, you’re allowed to leave early and NOT stay for the altar/offering time. However, everyone must be back at 5:45 pm for the 5th service, which starts at 6 pm.

Who can serve?
We take the privilege of serving on the platform seriously and want to pursue excellence in all we do. We expect our team members to continually strive to draw closer to the Lord, learn and grow in their talents, and be diligent and responsible in their leadership role at the church. You don't need to be an expert or professional musician, but there is an audition process to join the worship team. This takes place 20 minutes before our rehearsal night (usually Thursday evenings). Sign up below to schedule this and two familiar songs will be sent your way to practice (mp3 audio, chord charts, and lyrics).
Next Steps:
Step 1: Grow Track
Everyone who joins a Serve Team starts with Grow Track. It's more than just a volunteer orientation. Grow Track is a four-step process for anyone interested in taking the next step in their journey with God. Discover your God-given purpose and be equipped you to make a difference in your community and the world! No need to register! Join us Sundays during our 11:30 AM gathering, starting with Step One on the first Sunday of the month. We invite you to jump in at any time.
Step 2: Contact the Serve Team leader
Contact the Serve Team leader to let them know you're interested in joining their team. They can give you more details and get you plugged in once you've started in Grow Track.
Planning Center
We use an online system called Planning Center for scheduling team members, organizing services, and streamlining communication. Everyone on a Serve Team will need a free Planning Center account to track their schedule, accept or decline requests to serve, and access rehearsal files (for worship team). Click the link to watch the introduction video or read on to learn how to make the most of your account and know what to expect!
